Our life becomes increasingly digital. In order to gain access to the majority of internet-based services we decide to trade our personal data. The data itself is the new oil; along with digital fingerprinting and advanced behavioural profiling techniques it allows third-party actors to have a huge impact on our choices on unprecedented scale, as Cambridge Analytica scandal proved.
